G'Day Pom. The highlight of a recent trip to Qld, was meeting for the first time, a couple of Stretch's ( Mussig ) boys. What a great couple of young blokes they are. It was a pleasure to be able to have a couple of beers with them and tell them a few stories etc, about their Father and our exploits together in the NT bush, and our Darwin days in particular. ( Before they were born ). Merry Christmas to you and all the Blokes and their Families . Chester. PS. Don't be standing under the "Mistletoe" if Sluggo is about ............ |
Hey pom .and Gerry. Hope you are all well. Have a good Xmas. Regards rod nowland |
Three hundred boat people at RAAF Scherger Air Base in Weipa. They are mostly single men from Afghanistan all are being accepted into Australia. All men. All receive the pension same as our pensioners. All get the same amount again for hardship payment. Equals twice what our pensioners get. All receive fifty dollars a day for spending money. Security staff employed to watch them. Chefs employed to feed them. One quarter of a tonne of chicken a day alone is cooked. They won’t pick up their own rubbish. There was a massive dispute because they didn’t like the radio station. Another dispute because batteries were flat for the Nintendo games. Tents set up for mosque prayers had to be air conditioned The Bores/Wells set up to run RAAF Sherger adequately are now dry because taps are left running all day long. Sewerage systems now blocked with condoms (???) supplied to them [ all men.....remember] Dept of Immigration & Citizenship (DIAC) wants Dept of Defence to pay all the bills so they can hide the costs from the public by allowing three hundred poofters into the country. Australia needs to know. Congratulations Gillard you fool. Speaking as an Australian veteran who fought in Vietnam, it is my sincere belief that the most appropriate treatment for these men would be to ship them to another more famous ADF Base, Kapooka Army Base, just outside of Wagga Wagga in southern NSW. Pay them ONLY that which a normal Australian recruit receives, and maybe a small allowance on top of that when they can demonstrate that they can speak, understand and communicate clearly in Australian language. After their basic military training is satisfactorily completed, they then get shipped up to the School of Infantry, Singleton NSW. As they graduate through the various levels of training, pay them exactly the same wages that an Australian soldier receives for the level of qualification achieved, nothing more! Finally, equip them as a Separate and new Unit of the ADF and send them back to their country of origin to fight for their home nation’s freedom. In the worse case scenario, where they become injured during service, grant them full entitlements to the same levels of compensation, pension and medical care that our own troops receive. If Injured, or alternately after having served 2 x 6 month rotations on Operational service, they are then elibible to return to Australia, if they still want to, be granted full Australian citizenship and receive and pay all the normal amounts that ordinary Australians receive and pay for the privelige of living in this great country of ours. Them’s my thoughts Geoff Sanders sandersg@aapt.net.au |
